Cycles is a multimedia project that pairs footage of ocean waves with close-up imagery of plastics, glass, and paper collected from recycling bins, alongside a series of spreads that translate ocean pollution data into graphic form.
It draws on formal textural analogies between the ocean surface, the plastics and the data to create a subliminal response. The video was shot by drone in 4k to show surface subleties.
The video was selected a winner at the AI-AP International Motion Awards 6.
